2014-ford-fiesta

The 2014 Ford Fiesta is even more fun to drive than the previous year model. Several changes come to the 2014 model including a more powerful engine, more standard features and the option to have the MyFord Touch interface, according to Edmunds.

Both the hatchback and sedan versions have been upgraded. Standard features included are Bluetooth, seven airbags and an iPod interface. According to Edmunds, this small car remains feisty and fun to drive.

The steering is responsive, which makes it an easy drive. For drivers concerned about the cost of gas, the 2014 Ford Fiesta is expected to get more than 40 miles per gallon.

A new Fiesta model, the ST, is perhaps even more impressive. This model is only available in a hatchback. The new model delivers 197 horsepower, 17-inch wheels, upgraded breaks and more. Overall, the ST has a sportier feel and is cheaper than other competitors including the Fiat 500 Abarth or the Mini Cooper S, according to Edmunds. To check out the current Fiesta model visit Chapman Ford.

The standard Fiesta delivers 120 horsepower and can go from zero miles per hour to 60 in less than 10 seconds. The review in Edmunds says the vehicle handles with precision, and breaks and accelerates smoothly as well. Not only is the Ford Fiesta fun to drive–it’s safe, too!

In government crash testing, the vehicle received four out of five stars. The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety gave the Fiesta its highest rating of “Good” in its tests, according to Edmunds.

2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

If you haven’t tested out your Chapman Ford Raptor in Bulldog Canyon or the Wickenburg Mountains, make sure your ride and your technical skills are up to par before hitting the great outdoors at the exclusive Raptor SVT Roundup from 8am-3pm on Saturday, Oct. 26th.

Scottsdale Ford Raptor owners can sign up for an ultimate drive experience on the off-road course. The event and technical ride are free: space is limited so register early to secure a spot. Participants must be 18 years or older and take part in a 10-minute pre-drive safety registration course prior to hitting the track. The online registration form is located at www.yourlocalforddealers.com/raptorroundup?chosenState=AZ.

In addition to the 15-minute course ride, there will be technical walkarounds of the 2013 F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 F-150 and F-Series Super Duty vehicles. Rounding out the 4×4 fun is entertainment, giveaways and refreshments. The event will be held at Wild Horse Motor Sports Park, 20000 South Maricopa Road, Chandler.

Since its launch in 2010, the Ford F-150 Raptor has climbed in popularity, due to its rugged components, low and high-speed off-road performance, and exclusive internal triple-bypass FOX Racing Shox dampers, skid plates and standard Hill Descent Control. Ford is increasing production to meet demand for the Raptor, which also is available as a four-door SuperCrew. And for 2014, the Raptor Special Edition includes luxury upgrades to the interior, as well as two new colors – Ruby Red Metallic and Tuxedo Black Metallic.

“What’s helping drive Raptor sales is that Raptor delivers unmatched off-road performance to our customers,” said Doug Scott, Ford truck group marketing manager. “Raptor is also proof of our commitment to offer a truck for every customer and continuously improving them to meet our customers’ evolving needs.”

The SVT Raptor is available with a 6.2-liter V8 engine capable of putting out 411hp and 434 lb.-ft. of torque. It includes a six-speed automatic and the 4WD system features an electronic shift-on-the-fly capability. AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control and a Torsen limited-slip differential are standard, with a grill-mounted camera available as an option on the 2013 Raptor.
