2015 Ford Focus Revealed

According to Ford, The Focus is the best selling nameplate in the world. Whether that is true or not doesn’t deter from the fact that the current-generation Ford Focus is one popular machine. The latest-generation Focus debuted in 2012 as part of Ford’s “One Ford” campaign to sell one car for every market around the world. Since the Focus has been around for a few years, Ford has decided to give it a refresh for 2015.

While the 2012 Focus was the youthful entrant into a bland segment, the 2015 Ford Focus adds a level of maturity and sophistication the car needed to compete with other vehicles in this crowded segment.

When you look at the 2015 Focus, you will see the changes, but still clearly understand that it is the same car underneath. The front end receives Ford’s new corporate, Aston Martin-like grille with their now trademarked thin-slit headlights. The goofy and fish-like gaping mouth of black plastic is now gone, replaced with a more elegant and stylish front-end design.

When you sit in a 2015 Ford Focus, you will notice that nothing much has changed over the outgoing model. The center stack and steering wheel are appropriately updated, making the interior feel more luxurious. One noticeable change is the removal of the lock/unlock buttons from the center console to the doors—where the should be.

Ford says the 2015 Focus will receive Ford’s new 1.0-liter EcoBoost (read: turbocharged) three-cylinder engine. The engine is currently found in the Ford Fiesta. The only transmission available for the 1.0-liter mill is a six-speed manual transmission. Ford didn’t release any more information on engine or transmission offerings. There was also no word if the Focus ST performance model would continue into the new model year or if an even higher performance RS version was coming.

The Ford Focus has always sold well, but Ford is definitely positioning the 2015 Focus to be the segment sales leader. For the latest information on the 2015 Ford Focus, or Ford’s entire model lineup, please feel free to contact your Phoenix Ford dealer today for the latest in all we have to offer.
